From her first piercing course to earning over ten certifications, Sofiia’s journey is marked by continuous growth and genuine love for the craft. Could you please tell us a little about yourself and your journey as a piercer?
I understand that I want to work at beauty industry, but I didn’t know what exactly. Then I came across piercing courses, and went to study a piercer. After that I was starting working as piercer, also I was going to other courses, master classes and conferences. Now i have more than 10 certificates.
Why did you choose piercing as your profession?
I really want to work with people, to work in the creative field, make people happy. So my choice was piercing and toothgems .
How many years of experience do you have in the piercing industry? What would you say is the most challenging aspect of your work?
Last march I was starting working as piercer. The hardest is to understand people, what they want,individual approach to everyone.
What do you love most about being a piercer?
Love to making people happy with new piercing, there reaction. Also like to studying in this industry .
Could you share some insights into the specifics of dermal piercings? What makes them different or more challenging than other types of piercings?
Dermal is so special type of piercing. You should know, that you should be careful with dermal, good care. Also dermal is make a little differently than all other types of piercings, and it doesn’t hurt.
There’s often a lot of debate about tooth gems. In your opinion, are tooth gems considered a form of piercing or something different?
Toothgems it’s not a piercing! You can call it type of body modification, decorations on teeth. But nothing in common with piercing.
